Background & Experience

Joseph A. DeWoskin spent almost nine years serving on active duty with the Army JAG Corps. He currently serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves. With more than 25 years of legal experience, attorney Joseph A. DeWoskin is well suited to handle any of his clients' legal needs. He has been retained on multiple occasions to testify and assist as an expert on legal matters relating to military law and military divorce.

His in-depth experience with military law helps him effectively serve those who currently serve or previously served in the armed forces. Attorney DeWoskin has also taught continuing legal education classes on SCRA and USERRA, as well as on military-specific family law issues related to divorce, child support and child custody.

He is highly active as a volunteer in the Kansas City community, coaching children's sports teams, and is highly involved in the American Bar Association, working to better the legal experience for all involved.
